Rapid No. 109: Bangkok to Chiang Mai

This is Rapid No. 109 that goes from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal in Bangkok to Chiang Mai. It is a very slow train that takes thirteen hours and fifty minutes and so it is not recommended if you want to go all the way. It also arrives in Chiang Mai at the unsocial hour of 4:05 a.m. The train has 2nd Class and 3rd Class carriages with seats and fans and also a Day and Night carriage with A/C. The cheapest tickets are 230 Baht. Sleepers are also cheap at only 688 baht for upper berth and 758 Baht for lower berth.
