While a seamless, single-train journey is still in the works, a fantastic multi-part option is being introduced to kick things off. Here’s what you need to know:
A Train Journey in Two Parts: For now, your adventure will begin with a scenic train ride on the Thai side. You’ll depart from Bangkok and travel to Ban Klong Luk, a station situated right at the border. Here, you’ll switch gears and hop on a Cambodian train to complete your trip to Phnom Penh.
Looking Forward: Direct Train with Comfort. The wait for a one-stop train experience won’t be long! Plans are already underway for a direct, air-conditioned train service that will whisk you from Bangkok all the way to Phnom Penh. This will be a game-changer for comfort and convenience.
Beyond Phnom Penh: Unveiling Angkor Wat by Train and Bus. For those with Angkor Wat at the top of their Cambodian bucket list, there’s more good news! Combined train and bus tickets will soon be available. Your journey will begin in Bangkok, and you’ll travel by train to Sisophon Station.
