Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani by Train

There are six long-distance trains operating on the main Northeastern Line connecting Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani. All of these trains depart from Krung Thep Aphiwat Station (KTW). For the fastest journey, consider daytime Special Express No. 21. This diesel railcar (DRC) offers air-conditioning and reclining seats. If you prefer a sleeper train, Special Express No. 23 is a popular choice, featuring modern CNR carriages. Rapid No. 139 provides an additional sleeper train alternative. These trains also stop in Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, and Sisaket.
