RECOMMENDED TRAINS
From Bangkok, there are trains that go to Ayutthaya from Bangkok (Hua Lamphong) and Krung Thep Aphiwat (KTW) stations. If you are going to Ayutthaya as a day trip, I recommend catching Rapid No. 111 from Krung Thep Aphiwat. This departs at 7:30 a.m. If you don’t want to get up that early, then you could catch Express No. 75 at 8:45 a.m. or even Express No. 71 at 10:35 a.m. If you prefer to go from Bangkok (Hua Lamphong) Station, then the most popular train is Ordinary No. 201 that leaves at 9:30 a.m. But it doesn’t reach Ayutthaya until 11:27 a.m. All of these tickets can be bought at the station before departure.
